MANAGING PARTNER
Attorney Robert A. Pearson is a founding partner of Pearson & Mitchell LLC. Robert focuses primarily on issues involving personal injury, business formation, and civil litigation.
A 2010 honors graduate of Southern University Law Center in Baton Rouge, LA, Robert was recognized as one of The National Black Lawyers’ Top 40 under 40 in 2016. Robert is a native of Baton Rouge, LA, where he attended Catholic High School, but has resided in New Orleans since 2010. He is also an honors graduate of Northwestern State University, receiving his Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice in 2006.
Robert is committed to community service and education, and as such, he presently serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the Center for Resilience (formerly the New Orleans Therapeutic Day Program) in New Orleans, LA. He also serves as the Board Attorney for the Algiers Economic Development Foundation (AEDF). Previously, Robert served as the Director of Legal Services for the Louisiana Civil Justice Center (LCJC), which provided free legal services for low income families across the State of Louisiana.
In addition to his legal career, Robert is an avid supporter of fostering a sense of achievement in our local youth through the participation in athletics. He currently works as the High School Basketball and Track Coach at Louise S. McGehee School in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Robert is admitted to practice in all Louisiana State Courts including the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals, the Eastern and Western District of the United States District Court, and is an accredited attorney with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. He is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, American Bar Association, New Orleans Bar Association, and the Greater New Orleans Louis A. Martinet Legal Society.
